Return to Reno - The Nugget Welcomes Back the National
The National Police Collector’s Show has been an ongoing annual tradition which has taken place for more than 30 years, with the first show (back then called a meet) being in 1985. As the 2020 Reno hosts, we are honored to be continuing the show and hosting at the Nugget Casino in Sparks, Nevada. For those asking, where is Sparks? It is the adjoining city with Reno. The Nugget is the same location of the 2007 Reno National Collectors Show, which was successfully hosted by the Mike Lynch, Brian Smith, and the late Doug Messer. Reno has also been the host of the 1992 and 1994 National Show.
The National Show is a special show for many collectors as it draws hobby enthusiasts from all over the United States, North America, and across the globe. This show is the premier event for hobbyists, historians, and more come to meet and trade, swap, buy or sell collectible public safety memorabilia.
Frequented by past and current first responders from law enforcement, fire, and EMS, the show also brings together the family members of first responders as well. Other enthusiasts and supporters also come to the show in search for “that one” badge or patch they are seeking for the collection. It’s also a gathering place for collectors to showcase their collections and share the history of the memorabilia.
Over time many friendships have been formed at the National Shows. We hope to see many more friendships formed from the 2020 National Show in Reno. We also hope that you will be able to come join us at the Nugget to show your support for the hobby and keep the history alive.
